Warranty

1) In order to obtain service, the "Request for Service" form listed above must be filled out.

2) The warranty covers parts and labor for up to 12 Months unless otherwise specified by our website. Please note that warranty periods and services vary by manufacturer and product.

3) BusinessNeedz.com is not responsible for typographical errors.  While we try to make sure all of our information is correct we cannot be held liable for misprints. We recommend calling and also viewing the manufacturers specifications from their web site or brochures. We offer manufacturer pdf specifications on almost all of the equipment we sell.

4) Manufacture's warranty DOES NOT cover the cost of  accidental damage, misuse, improper installation, equipment exchange or return.

5) Power surges are not covered under warranty. All office equipment purchased should be used in conjunction with a surge protector (not a power strip). Most reputable surge protectors will buy you a new machine if a surge makes it through their surge protector.

6) BusinessNeedz is not responsible for setup. We sell office equipment well below what you could purchase it from a local dealer. It is the customers responsibility to make accommodations to have the machine setup by an authorized dealer.

7) BusinessNeedz.com has the option to void any machine warranty that has been improperly set up.

8) Manufactures will not simply exchange the product if there is a problem. All machines must be serviced by a factory trained service provider at the expense of BusinessNeedz.com. We will make sure the machine is functioning to meet all specifications of the manufacturers brochure.

9) In the event that a machine cannot be repaired, BusinessNeedz will ship out a replacement machine. BusinessNeedz will not ship out a replacement until the original machine is returned.

10) If it is urgent you receive the machine, the customer has the option to purchase the replacement machine, and full credit will be issued upon receipt of the damaged machine.

11) After the machine has been received in satisfactory condition, BusinessNeedz will then ship out a replacement.

12) We at BusinessNeedz try our best to assess the needs of our customer to find the best piece of office equipment to satisfy your needs. We encourage everyone to please call us before you order.

13) Toners, developers, drums, and fusers are absolutely not covered under warranty. These are consumable parts that need to be replaced. If a consumable is received DOA we will ship out a new one at our expense.

14) You have 30 days from the date of delivery to report any discrepencies in your order. ie. incorrect parts shipped, incorrect quantaties, or billing errors.

15) You have 30 days from the date of delivery to register your warranty or on-site warranty. Service is not provided if the warranty has not been registered.

16) Networking is not covered under warranty. While network cards are covered under warranty and will be replaced if found to be malfunctioning, a technician will not be sent out at our cost to determine if the network card is defective. If the customer hires a technician to come out and the network card is found to be the problem, BusinessNeedz.com will reimburse the customer for the service call and will repair the machine at no charge to the customer.

17) Okidata products are covered under Okidata's 1 year warranty. There are no returns on Okidata products. Okidata will provide on-site service or replacement as per their warranty agreement.

18) Paper jams are not covered under warranty. Click here for some suggestions on how to avoid paper jams.

19) This warranty page is subject to change at any time.

Consumable Warranty

1) If you receive a consuamable and it does not work after it is installed, we will ship another cartridge out. The defective cartridge must be mailed back to us in order for you to receive a credit.

2) Screeching or noisy cartridges are not covered under warranty.

3) After 30 days, no cartridge (ie. Toner, Developer, or Drum) can be returned under any circumstances.

4) Fuser units are considered a consumable item and are not covered under warranty.

5) RMA instructions listed below must be follwed when shipping any consumable back to Office Smart inc. dba. BusinessNeedz.com

Shipping Damage
****Inspect the box before the truck driver leaves your facility****

1) If a machine appears damaged, i.e. the box has a hole in it, open box, or is torn apart, DENY the shipment.  If you sign for the machine, you are accepting that the machine does not look damaged.

2) If there is hidden damage please call us at 866-530-8502 and we will have the shipping company come out and inspect the machine.  In this case, the machine must be repacked EXACTLY the way that it was when it came in.

3) In the event that it is necessary to return the damaged merchandise, follow the instructions below. If the instructions are not followed, the merchandise will be refused and no credit will be given.

4) BusinessNeedz.com is not responsible for shipping damage. All boxes are packed according to the rules and regulations of each shipping company. As such, BusinessNeedz.com cannot replace a machine or accessory until we have been reimbursed by the shipping company.

 

RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)

1) In order to obtain an RMA, the "RMA" form listed above must be filled out. BusinessNeedz will then send you an RMA number.

2) BusinessNeedz will not accept merchandise back that does not have an RMA number with it.

3) RMA's are only given if the box has been unopened and unused, unless the machine or part cannot be fixed by an authorized service provider.

4) An RMA must be requested within 10 days of the original invoice date. Thereafter, all sales are final.

5) The returned package must be received within 10 business days of the RMA issue date. After 10 days, the RMA is void and will be refused.

6) Shipping charges are non-refundable on returned, unopened machines and accessories. No exceptions.

7) A 20% restocking fee is added to all orders that are refused or shipped back.

8) All special ordered items are non refundable and cannot be returned. If a special ordered item is defective or damaged in shipping, a replacement will be shipped or a technician will be sent out to repair the item. If an item is special order, it will be marked accoringly on our invoice.

9) If the instructions listed below are not followed, no credit will be given and the package will be refused.

10) If the box has been written on, it will be refused and credit will not be given. DO NOT WRITE ON THE BOX .

11) RMA's are not given for shipping damage. Machines or Accessories that have been damged in shipping must go through the shipper ie. UPS, Fedex, or other truck line.

 

How to Return Merchandise (IMPORTANT INFORMATION)

1) All items must be packed in all original packing and boxing. 

2) Please remove all installed ink or toner cartridges prior to repackaging your printer for return. Cartridges left installed during shipping can seriously damage the machine, in which case credit cannot be given. Contain these removed cartridges in either their original packing or a securable plastic bag.

3) If the original styrofoam is no longer sufficient for packing, take the box to a mailing facility and have the box professionally packed.

4) You currently own the merchandise you are shipping back, whether it is damaged or not. Please ship it back accordingly.

4) A tracking number must be received within 3 business days of issuing an RMA and the damaged merchandise must be received within 10 business days.

5) We will not take any merchandise back without the original box. No exceptions.

6) A credit will be given or product shipped on return of the damaged product, unless other arrangements have been made.

7) Take a picture of the packed machine and send it to sales@businessneedz.com. Upon receipt of the machine we will open the box and take a picture and email it to you. If there is toner spillage, missing manuals, missing power cords, or improper packaging, the machine will be refused and shipped back to you at your expense.
